Who we are
Canalside Collective — The Studio is based in Hewell Park, Worcestershire, United Kingdom. We're the data controller for the information described on this page — which just means we're the ones responsible for it and who you should contact about it.
Email info@canalsidecollective.com or call +44 7763 998367 for anything to do with your data.
What the booking form collects
When you send us a booking enquiry, we ask for:
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Artist or project name
- What service you need (recording, production, mixing, mastering, etc.)
- How long you need
- Preferred date
- Budget
- A link to your music
- A description of the project
- How you heard about the studio
Name, email and a short project description are the only required fields. Everything else just helps us get back to you with something useful.
Why we collect it
Purely to reply to your enquiry and, if it goes ahead, to arrange your session — working out dates, rates and what the day needs to look like. We don't use it for anything beyond that.
Our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR, we rely on legitimate interests to reply to people who contact us, and on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract once we start discussing a specific booking with you.
Where it's stored, and who can see it
Enquiries submitted through the booking form land in our Netlify Forms inbox and are also emailed to info@canalsidecollective.com. Only the people who run Canalside Collective — The Studio have access to either.
How long we keep it
We don't have a fixed retention schedule in place yet — that's something we're working on. In the meantime we only keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to reply to you or run your session. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to:
- show you what personal data we hold about you (access)
- correct anything that's wrong (rectification)
- delete your data (erasure)
- stop using your data in a particular way (objection)
Get in touch using the details above and we'll sort it out. If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).
